A delicious and aromatic shrimp dish featuring shell-on shrimp coated in a seasoned dry batter, fried to perfection, and then sautéed in a rich garlic butter sauce, finished with crispy garlic bits and green onions.
1. Rinse your shrimps and then dry with paper towel.
2. Combine ingredients for the dry batter. Coat the shrimp in the dry batter and let it absorb the batter for 15 minutes.
3. Heat up some neutral oil and fry the shrimp on high heat for 2 mins on each side.
4. To make the garlic butter, start with some neutral oil in a pan. Add the garlic and butter, sauté until fragrant, then add a pinch of salt, 1/2 tsp sugar, 1 tsp mushroom seasoning, msg, and crushed thai chili to your liking. Adjust to taste.
5. Add the shrimps and turn down the heat and let the shrimp absorb the garlic butter as the garlic bits get crispy.
6. Top off with chopped green onions and enjoy!
